About Boruto

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a Japanese anime series and manga about Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto Uzumaki, and his ninja team. The story follows Boruto as he tries to make his own mark in the ninja world and live up to his father's legacy: 

 

Family

Boruto has a younger sister named Himawari Uzumaki. He also has teammates including Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sakura and Sasuke Uchiha, and Mitsuki. 

 

Goal

Boruto wants to be recognized by his father and become a great ninja, but he doesn't want to be Hokage like Naruto. 

 

Adventures

Boruto and his team go on adventures and face challenges. For example, in the 2015 film Boruto: Naruto the Movie, Boruto joins the Chunin exams, meets Sasuke Uchiha, and defeats Momoshiki Otsutsuki. 

 

Manga and anime

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a spin-off and sequel to Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto. The manga was written by Ukyō Kodachi and Masashi Kishimoto, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. The anime is produced by Pierrot and broadcast on TV Tokyo.
